The Norton Cricket Club and Miners Welfare Institute is a sports and social club which is located in Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent. We are open 7 days a week and non-members are welcome.

 

You will be welcomed by a warm and friendly atmosphere offering wide selection of beers, wines & spirits, soft drinks and a selection of tradiitional cask ales.

We have a choice of 2 function rooms available for hire which are suitable for all occasions from small groups & upto 100 people.

Here at Norton Cricket Club and Miners Welfare Institute we have a choice of two function rooms which are available for hire at very reasonable rates.

 

Our first floor room is suitable for any function for up to 50 guests and is a popular intimate venue for christenings, Birthday Party's etc. This room is also an ideal venue for meetings and a number of local community groups take advantage of the excellent facilities this room offers.

 

Our main function room is suitable for larger events and is ideal for 50-100 guests. This room is always in demand so book early to secure the ideal venue for any occasion.

 

Both rooms have their own bar and a dance floor. If you want a DJ or any other entertainment, then it can be arranged.

 

We can arrange catering from a simple finger buffet to a three course dinner. However, if you would prefer to arrange your own catering then that is fine by us. We want your function to be a success and can help ensure that this happens to fit your requirements and budget.  

Sport: there's always something going on!

 

In the main bar we have a big screen showing all live major sporting events from the Premiership, Championship and the Football League. Follow England at the European Finals with all matches to be shown live!! We also show all the top rugby and cricket internationals.

 

We have the full Sky Sports and ESPN packages.

 

If your looking to watch sport away from the TV screen we are the home venue for Norton United Football Club and Norton Cricket Club.

 

Norton United FC first team play their football in the North West Counties Premier Division one and also have to sides playing in the Staffs County Senior League. For more information regarding their fixtures please visit their website.

 

Norton Cricket Club have to teams playing in the North Staffs and South Cheshire Cricket League. The first team playing in Division 1A and the second team playing in Premier division B.
